Annamite Resources Advances Exploration at the Sokdee Project: Expanding Targets, Strengthening Geological Confidence, and Unlocking Long-Term Value in Laos

Annamite Resources continues to strengthen its position as a leading early-stage exploration company in Laos, with significant advancements across its Sokdee Project in the Hinherb Tenement Block. Through ongoing geochemical surveys, drilling, geophysical programs, and target generation, the company is steadily revealing the exceptional potential of a highly prospective and underexplored region within the Loie Belt.

Expanding Targets Across the Hinherb Tenement

Recent technical work has defined multiple high-priority targets within the 37 sq. km Hinherb Tenement Block, including newly identified prospects at Mouk, Mouk West, and along the broader Namthom–Mouk corridor.

Key highlights include:

A total of nine targets generated across the Hinherb Tenement (plus one in Fuang) through geochemistry, mapping, geophysics, and scout drilling.

First results confirming that Mouk hosts a 1,600-metre long untested soil anomaly (Au-Ag-Zn-Cu-Mo), extending the strike of the Namthom porphyry system.

Four targets drilled to date, with additional scout drilling scheduled for Q4 2022.

These findings reinforce the large-scale porphyry potential already indicated at Sokdee.

Low-Cost Exploration During the Monsoon Season

Despite challenging weather conditions, the Annamite team successfully continued low-cost ground operations throughout the monsoon. Work included:

Additional soil geochemical infill sampling,

Geological mapping of priority zones,

Early field checks across newly defined anomalies.

This systematic approach ensures consistent progress while maintaining cost efficiency.

Geophysical Surveys to Advance Understanding of the System

To strengthen subsurface interpretation, Annamite has deployed and planned multiple geophysical programs:

Induced Polarization (IP) Survey

A six-line IP survey is scheduled to begin in early October to:

Understand chargeability of potential mineralized zones,

Define deeper porphyry centres,

Integrate with drilling and geochemical data.

Airborne Magnetic Survey

The company is also preparing a drone airborne magnetic survey aimed at:

Extending current coverage to the north,

Better defining structural controls,

Covering the highly prospective Mouk region.

The combined geophysical results will refine drill targeting for upcoming campaigns.

A Large-Scale Porphyry System Showing Multiple Styles of Mineralization

Annamite’s technical team now believes the Sokdee Project stands out among early-stage Southeast Asian exploration projects due to:

Potentially economic intersections already encountered,

Evidence of three distinct styles of mineralization, including porphyry-related systems,

A system currently mapped at 6 km in strike length.

Based on geochemical halo modelling and structural interpretation, the company believes there may be:

Two additional blind porphyry centres along strike, and

Additional structurally controlled mineralization peripheral to the main Namthom porphyry.

Peripheral targets are likely to advance quickly toward resource definition, while deeper porphyry centres represent major long-term growth opportunities.

Strategic Positioning Within the Loie Belt

The Sokdee Project sits 70 km southwest of:

The Phu Kham copper-gold porphyry mine, and

The Ban Houayxai epithermal deposit—

Both significant deposits within the Loie Belt.

The combination of:

A vastly underexplored region,

Lack of modern exploration,

Strong government engagement,

gives Annamite and its investors a unique first-mover advantage in Laos.

A Long-Term Opportunity for Investors

The continually improving scale and potential of Sokdee make it a compelling opportunity for investors seeking exposure to copper-gold porphyry systems in emerging markets.

To support accelerated exploration efforts, Annamite has launched a new financing round:

US$3 million raise at 12c per share

Funds will be directed toward:

Advancing nearer-term, shallow mineralized targets,

Expanding geochemical and geophysical programs,

Deeper drilling aimed at defining the porphyry centres.

Conclusion: A Standout Early-Stage Project With Major Upside

The Sokdee Project continues to emerge as a standout exploration opportunity within a productive but underexplored mineral belt. With:

Strong technical progress,

Multiple new targets,

Expanding geophysical coverage,

Growing geological confidence, and

A strategic first-mover position in Laos,

Annamite Resources is well positioned to deliver long-term value for shareholders while contributing to the development of the region.

With the completion of a six-month exploration program this year starting with infill soil sampling, a drone aeromagnetic survey and a 1980m scout drilling program Annamite geologists have confirmed an important porphyry discovery and two adjacent associated non-porphyry bodies with a combined strike length of over 6km.

The 2022 exploration program has added considerable value to our company. It is a significant step forward for Annamite and we are excited by these positive developments. We have secured tenure in the project area and have established a unique network of government and business contacts in Laos.

The Sokdee tenement contains the three prospects mentioned previously as well as an additional seven targets, a total of 10. Our 2022-23 exploration program at Sokdee includes multiple short holes along strike into the non-porphyry targets, a few deep holes into the porphyry, drill testing of new soil geochemical targets, additional geophysical surveys, and the generation of inhouse resource estimates.
