Christopher, minerals financier & economist, ran business development for natural resources for the IFC (International Finance Corporation) out of London office from 2006-2010, IFC is private sector arm of the World Bank Group, and is a major private sector investor in mining in emerging markets. Earlier he led IFC mining transactions in Africa, Russia, Central Asia and and Latin America. Prior, he advised African governments in natural resource policy and, negotiations in Ghana, Tanzania, Mozambique and Swaziland. From 2010—2017 he was on the board of and latterly Non Executive Chairman of Triple Plate Junction, now Tethyan Resources, which was listed on AIM in London.

Annamite Resources, a Junior Copper-Gold Exploration Company has embarked on an essential stakeholder engagement project to restore a deteriorating causeway west of Namthom Village within their Sokdee Project exploration area. This vital project not only addresses the pressing issue of erosion but also prioritizes safety of the drilling team and community. Despite the challenges posed by the wet season, Annamite’s commitment to this initiative remains unwavering.

Revitalizing the Causeway:
The causeway west of Namthom Village had been plagued by erosion, rendering it perilously slippery during the wet season. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Sokdee Project initiated earthworks that involve a comprehensive restoration effort. This multifaceted endeavor includes the meticulous reshaping of the road surface and the strategic placement of gabion baskets to stabilize the edges of the causeway. These measures are pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of the local community.

Undoubtedly, the wet season presented significant challenges to the ongoing restoration work. Unpredictable weather conditions, muddy terrain, and logistical hurdles tested the resolve of theAnnamite/LHBS team. Progressive Road Updates:
In parallel with the causeway restoration, Annamite/LHBS is proactively upgrading the access road to Mouk prospect with a high-quality road base.
