On March 9 in Vientiane, CEO Didier Fohlen signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with Boungnong Sidavong, Managing Director of Lao Mining Development State Enterprise (LMD). His Excellency Dr. Daovong Phonekeo, Minister of Energy and Mines attended the ceremony.  Annamite had previously secured two joint ventures: one in the Sakai East area in Sangthong district and the Sokdee tenement in Hin Heup and Muang Fuang districts with Lao Hyundae Black Stone (LHBS).
This agreement allows Annamite to explore additional areas in Laos in cooperation with LMD, covering all phases from prospecting to feasibility. Should an economic deposit be identified, Annamite and LMD will create a Joint Venture company to develop the project. Â
Annamite has established a local presence and expertise over the last three years in Laos, based on its knowledge and country network which it has built up over time.  The excellent exploration potential of Laos, commodity price forecasts and availability of capital are now all favorable for Annamite to focus on exploring for mineral resources to build Laos’ resource base.
