During August 2021, Annamite Resources and its partner LHBS reached an important milestone in securing from Government the prospective Sokdee 250 km2 tenement, which contains the Star gold and copper porphyry. An amount of $563K was paid to the Government of Laos to cover outstanding arrears for the period 2013-2019 for concession fees and statutory funds. During September we expect to receive formal confirmation of the reinstatement of the exploration license for a period of three years. This will allow the local Annamite team to start exploration activities in October 2021. In parallel Annamite is pursuing raising additional funding in the Middle East and Asia for its workplan.
The Annamite Board of Directors is proud to provide funds to the Treasury of the country, as well as to the Ministry of Energy and Mines and local administrations around the Project site at a time when the macro economic situation of Laos needs support due to the effects of the COVID pandemic. We are committed to engaging fully with Government departments to make the Sokdee Project a successful exploration play, leading to a potential greenfield development.
