COMMUNITY – April 2026
Working Together to Support Sustainable Mining in Laos
In the lead-up to the Lao New Year (Pi Mai) celebrations, Annamite Resources Chief Executive Officer, Didier Fohlen, met with Malaithong Kommasith, Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC), and Phouvong Bounsou, Governor of Vientiane Province, to exchange Lao New Year greetings and reaffirm a shared commitment to the country’s sustainable development.
As part of the Pi Mai tradition, the Annamite Resources team presented the customary Lao offering basket, symbolising respect, goodwill, and appreciation. Beyond this cultural gesture, the meetings provided an important opportunity to discuss continued collaboration in advancing Laos’ mining sector through responsible investment, sustainable resource development, and strong partnerships between the public and private sectors.
The discussions highlighted a shared vision of fostering long-term economic growth while ensuring that mineral development delivers meaningful benefits for local communities and aligns with the nation’s development priorities.
As a mineral exploration company focused on discovering and developing copper, gold, silver, and molybdenum deposits in Laos, Annamite Resources remains committed to working closely with government stakeholders, local communities, and industry partners. The Company continues to prioritise responsible exploration practices, environmental stewardship, transparency, and sustainable value creation throughout its operations.
These engagements reinforce Annamite Resources’ commitment to helping build a resilient, progressive, and internationally competitive mining industry in Laos—one founded on collaboration, innovation, and responsible resource development.
