We’re excited to share recent operational milestones from our Sokdee and Vangma copper-gold-molybdenum projects, where our exploration and community teams continue to advance critical work on the ground — safely and steadily.
Here’s what’s been happening onsite:
🔹Zero safety issues recorded — even as the weather shifted from rainy to cool & cloudy
🔹Continued 100x100m geological mapping at Flank–Milky Way prospect
🔹Grab rock samples collected as part of mapping in November
🔹 All drill pads ready for scout drilling in Sokdee & Vangma — minor drainage repairs done post-monsoon to stop erosion, runoff, and fix access roads after heavy rains
🔹 Drill rig mobilization planned for week of 24th November
🔹 Additional compensation ensured for landowners affected by runoff during monsoon
🔹 Strong collaboration with Central Government (MOAE, MOIC) & Provincial/District authorities
🔹 Active community engagement to explain work program (mapping and drilling, as well as improving rural roads)
What stands out most:
Despite seasonal challenges, our team continues to move with precision, respect, and integrity – in the field, with landowners, villagers and through government engagement. Rainfall this monsoon season was about 25% higher than usual (2,200mm vs 1,680mm), delaying the start of drilling.
This is how responsible exploration looks in practice.
This is how we advance toward discovery — together.
The Annamite Resources team attended the ASEAN Minerals Investment Forum (AMVest 2025), held on October 2–3, 2025, in Vientiane.
AMVest, organized by the ASEAN Federation of Mining Associations (AFMA) and the Indonesian Mining Association, gathered over 300 participants from across ASEAN and partner countries, including Australia, Japan, Korea, and the United States. The forum aimed to foster sustainable minerals investment and highlight ASEAN’s critical role in the global energy transition.
For Annamite Resources, participating in AMVest was more than an opportunity to represent Laos’ exploration sector; it was a chance to connect, collaborate, and contribute to shaping the region’s mining future.
Impact on Our Team and Company
by Attending AMVest 2025 was targeted to:
As Laos steps into the spotlight as host of this year’s AMVest, Annamite Resources stands proud to be part of the conversation, advancing a sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready mining industry for the region.
On 22 September, Annamite Resources partnered with Namthom villagers for a Clean-Up and Planting Day. Over 230 households, leaders, women’s unions, youth groups, and staff joined the following activities:
Since 2023, we’ve supported better solid waste management practices in Mouk, Namthom, and Souamone, including digging trenches for non-burnable waste and donating cleaning tools and seedlings.
Transparent Communication on Exploration
We clarified that we remain in the exploration phase, not in mining. Current activities, such as mapping, sampling, surveys, and initial drilling, are temporary. Annamite will generate large-scale jobs and community benefits depending on successful results, with more drilling planned for late 2025–2026. Progress was delayed in 2024–2025 due to difficulties with the land access.
We also explained land access and compensation, in accordance with Lao law and the IFC Performance Standards.
Building Trust Through Engagement
We emphasized shared responsibility and potential benefits if successful exploration. Exploration does not automatically mean future mining, and agriculture can coexist with exploration.
The meeting concluded with a shared lunch, strengthening community-company ties.
Looking Ahead
We remain committed to CSR, environmental care, local employment, and small-scale community projects, while continuing open dialogue and cooperation as exploration advances into 2026–2027.
As a Laos-focused mineral exploration company with Australian shareholders (12%) and geographical proximity, we see Austcham membership as a valuable platform for partnership, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
With a permanent presence in Laos since late 2019, joining LNCCI is timely as the best nexus between the state, private enterprises, and the government. LNCCI plays a significant role in improving business policies and developing legislation for improving the business environment in the Lao PDR.
Joining AustCham and LNCCI isn’t just about adding our name to a membership list — it’s about stepping into a dynamic community where ideas, expertise, industry knowledge, and opportunities are actively exchanged. It is a way to engage broadly on sustainable growth and responsible business.
Our partnership with AustCham and LNCCI opens the door to regulatory improvements, market confidence, mining sector development, and meaningful dialogue that strengthen not just our own business, but the wider economic, social, and environmental setting in Laos.
For our shareholders, this will enhance visibility within two prestigious business networks and access to new opportunities for strategic partnerships that can accelerate our project timelines and add long-term value to people in Laos and our shareholders.
Together, we can contribute to a stronger, more connected Lao business community, where cooperation drives progress and improvements for everyone involved.
Annamite Resources brought together our dedicated staff and management for two impactful days of learning and collaboration during Modules 1 & 2 of Environmental & Social Standards Training.
Led by E&S experts from Insuco and their partner Civitas, the sessions covered vital topics including:
The discussions were dynamic, hands-on, and deeply connected to our mission: to operate responsibly, transparently, and with full respect for the people and conservation of places where we work.
A huge thank you to our team for showing up with curiosity, commitment, and a shared vision for sustainable mining in Laos.
This is just the beginning — together, we’re building a stronger, smarter, and more socially responsible future.
Annamite Resources hired Small Cap Invest for a 3-day European Roadshow during the first half of May in Frankfurt, Munich, and Zurich.
Our CEO, Didier Fohlen met privately with about 40 investors and participated at the Frankfurt Gold Messe on May 16, 2025.
It was a great opportunity to present to existing shareholders and potential investors the progress made during the last 5 years by the Annamite team, with now a significant 185 sq.km fertile tenement consisting of 10 metalliferous targets with combination of Au, Cu, Mo, Ag and Zn 9km belt of porphyries which compares favourably with other major elongate porphyry camps elsewhere in the world.
In parallel to exploring porphyry centres, Annamite is looking at possibly starting a gold mine in late 2029 producing 16,000 oz with expansion to 32,000 oz Au by 2031, generating cash flow exceeding US$42 million annually.
A big thank you to Alex Friedrich for organising perfectly these meetings, with interesting leads for the current round of financing.
Alex and his key investors have paved the way in 2019 for our success today.
Annamite Resources Laos, with contract partner Logantek Laos, commenced an induced polarisation (IP) electrical geophysical survey in the northern part of the Vangma property, south of Sokdee tenement.
An IP survey can map sulphides by turning on a high-voltage electric generator, transmitting current into the ground and bedrock, and then measuring the degree to which the bedrock stores electric charge for a few milliseconds when the current is turned off, and the locations where this occurred.
Typical deliverables from an IP survey are chargeability (millivolts per volt) and resistivity (ohm per metre) pseudo-sections, and two-dimensional inversion models of each survey line.
The objective of the northern Vangma IP survey is to map sulphide zones at Boundary, Milky Way, and Flank targets, which have been defined by soil geochemical surveys.
Approximately 12.8 line kilometres of IP survey were originally designed, and an additional 2.2km line was designed during the survey, bringing the total to 14 line kilometres. The Logantek crew mobilized on 5 February, and the survey commenced on 6 February. So far, about 12 line kilometres have been surveyed.
Chargeable zones, probably associated with sulphides, have been mapped at Boundary, Milky Way, and Flank targets.
When the survey is complete in early March and results are to hand, inclined drill holes can be designed to test the chargeable zones for copper and other sulphides that may exist in economic quantities, and therefore, would add value to the Vangma property, which is important to Annamite’s shareholders.
In parallel, Annamite Resources is actively engaged in negotiations with landowners to facilitate land access with proper compensation to the 10 targets we have in Sokdee and Vangma. We plan to start drilling operations in March.
We are proud to announce that Annamite Resources has secured 2nd place in the Small Company Category at the Lao Responsible Business Awards, hosted by LNCCI, Austcham Lao PDR, ECCIL, British Business Group Lao PDR, UK in Laos, Civitas Co., Ltd, the Embassy of Canada, and the EU in Laos.
We are the first junior exploration company recognized in Laos!
This achievement highlights our commitment to responsible minerals exploration, emphasizing social license to operate and community development as core pillars of our operations.
Empowering Communities Through Stakeholder Engagement
At Annamite, we go beyond compliance—actively supporting and engaging the communities where we operate.
Stakeholder Engagement – Transparent collaboration with local communities for land access, fair compensation, and environmental protection.
Sustainability – Repaired Namthom Causeway, improved roads, implemented waste management programs, and used locally sourced bamboo mats to prevent erosion at drill sites.
Education – Taught English in four schools to empower the next generation.
Community Support – Funded small projects, repaired infrastructure, and sourced local products to support livelihoods.
This award is a testament to our team’s dedication and corporate vision. As we move into 2025, we aim to expand sustainability initiatives, enhance waste management awareness, and strengthen partnerships with district leaders.
Together, we are shaping a more sustainable future for Laos.
